This year’s Blue Dragon Book Fair will be held in the Ngaio Town Hall in Wellington over the weekend of 18 and 19 April.
This is the 16th annual Blue Dragon Book Fair. All proceeds go to the Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation. Last year, the book fair raised a record $31,000 – smashing the previous year’s record by more than $3000. The trustees of Blue Dragon Children’s Trust NZ hope to raise a similar amount this year.
“At last year’s book fair, I enjoyed hearing several people say our book fair is their happy place and that the standard of our book fair is top shelf,” trustee Sue Gifford says. “A dealer told me it’s one of the best book fairs in New Zealand.”
Michael Brosowski, Founder and Strategic Director of Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation in Hanoi, says the book fair donation will be used to continue its work caring for children and teens who have been rescued from slavery and homelessness. It includes accommodation, food, psychological therapy and family reunions.
There’s great parking at the Ngaio Town Hall. The book fair runs on Saturday from 9am to 6pm and on Sunday from 9am to 3pm.
