Blue Dragon NZ
The Blue Dragon Book Fair 2026 will be held in the Ngaio Town Hall, as usual, on the weekend of 18 and 19 April. We are accepting donations of good-quality books, puzzles and board games from Saturday 21 March to 5pm Tuesday 14 April.
In recent years, we have been receiving huge numbers of donations for which we are very grateful. However, the space in the hall is tight, and our capacity to sort through so many donations needs to be managed. For those reasons, the 2026 book fair will NOT accept donations of:
- CDs, DVDs and records
- Travel guides, self-help books, business books and textbooks
- Food books and gardening books before 2020.
This decision is based on the fact that these books and CDs etc don’t sell very well but take up a lot of space.
We have a much-loved section of quality children's books for only $1 each. That's because the trustees all value reading and know how important it is for children to read.
Drop your donations from Saturday 21 March at Kennards Storage, 19 Hutt Road, in the downstairs area on the right-hand side, labelled 'Blue Dragon'.
